In short

This page explains what data Hopenn-X collects, why, and how to exercise your rights.

Who is responsible for your data

For website visitors and driving schools that request a space, Hopenn-X is the data controller.

For the data of students, instructors and staff of a driving school, the driving school decides how it is used. Hopenn-X acts on its behalf, as a service provider: we host and process it only to provide the service.

The data we collect

  • Website visitors: technical connection data (IP address, device type, pages viewed), kept by the host for security and proper operation.
  • Driving schools requesting a space: the information you enter to create it (for example the driving school name, your name and contact details, your country).
  • Subscription: we keep a record of the payment (date, amount and status). Your secret codes and card details do not go through our servers.
  • Support: the content of the messages you send to our team, and the attachments you add.
  • Technical errors: when a problem occurs, we receive a report from which personal data has been removed.

Why we use it

  • To provide and secure the service.
  • To create and activate your space.
  • To process the driving school subscription.
  • To answer your requests.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

Who receives the data

We do not sell your data. It is entrusted to providers, only to run the service:

  • Supabase: database hosting.
  • Vercel: website hosting and cookie-free visit counting.
  • Sentry: error reports.
  • Resend: sending emails.
  • Firebase (Google): notifications on the mobile app.
  • Hopenn Pay, pawaPay and Chariow: payment of the driving school subscription.
  • Anthropic and OpenAI: intelligent assistant, for driving schools that use it.
  • Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity: audience measurement, only if you accept it.

Where the data is hosted

The application data is hosted in the United States. It is therefore transferred outside your country. Only the people who need it have access. Google and Microsoft may also process audience measurement data outside your country, notably in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep the data as long as the driving school space is active, then for the time needed to meet our legal obligations. Financial information is kept to meet accounting obligations. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.

Security

Exchanges are encrypted, each driving school only sees its own data, and access depends on each person's role.

Audience measurement

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, without cookies: pages viewed, approximate country and device type, without identifying anyone.

We also count a few actions (click on a trial button, completed sign-up, download or installation of the app, click on our contact details), without any name, email or phone number.

This measurement is never active in the signed-in application, the mobile app or the Windows app.

Only with your consent, we also use:

  • Google Analytics, to understand which pages are viewed and how the site is browsed. Advertising signals are turned off.
  • Microsoft Clarity, to see where visitors get stuck, with recordings in which all text is masked.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, for its correction or deletion, or object to its use, by writing to the e-mail address given in the legal notice.

If you are a student of a driving school, please contact it first: it is responsible for your data. You can also contact the data protection authority of your country.
